Can anyone tell me what the butchers at the Slade is like. I live nearer to the High St than the Common (cue the snobs?!), but I dont rate the butchers at the bottom of Lakedale.

Butchers is excellent - there's a good reason why there's usually a queue outside on the weekends. One of the best in SE London apparently.

Eaten a few things from that butchers now - cant fault it at all.
Easily worth the walk up the hill.
