Hi. I've started a new blog on the block. Check it out at www.planetplumstead.co.uk. I started it because I am fed up with the lack of interest shown by the powers that be in the Plumstead High Street area. In my own small way I am trying to keep a track of projects that are supposed to be happening, such as Plumstead Station, St Nick's Gardens and others as they come up. One of my own observations is that Plumstead seems to be short-changed when it comes to getting its share of the regeneration that we hear so much about. Are we to be content with a few hanging baskets in the High St, or do we deserve something more? There are some small plans in the pipeline but they frequently seem to fall off the agenda or take ages to complete. I don't think project or budget management's a strong point down at the Council, so this is my way on helping to keep things on the radar for us. I'm afraid it also contains some of the more mundane aspects of my daily/weekly life too, so apologies for that but feel free to start up a dialogue, even if it's to tell me how boring my life is.
