what's happening at the station? I am pleased to see half of it has been knocked down, is anything exciting going back up?

For some time now Greenwich Council has been planning to improve Plumstead Station to give it a more attractive identity in the High Street. Consultants have been asked to draw up a plan and it is now at the state where work is beginning. The spiral underpass (nearby) is also being demolished to make the walkways safer and more attractive. I only know about this because I got in touch with GC some time ago and they told me about the plans. They are not good at keeping residents up to date. I will enquire further if anyone is interested.

i was wondering the same thing i don't understand why it's so grotty around the station, i would have thought it would have been an ideal spot for a decent cafe, dry cleaners, etc. I do keep seeing more people doing up their houses tho as well which has to be a good sign and hopefully proof that people are starting to realise the potential of the area. I am amazed at the way some people live and the state of their houses from the outside. God knows what they are like inside but surely it doesnt take much to clean your windows and net curtain and sweep up your porch?? have some pride!
