I am trying to buy blinds for our front window which is a bay window and has one large pane in the middle and 2 smaller panes each side. What I can't seem to find are venetian blinds to fit the size of window we need yet I see every second house in Plumstead has these at their windows. Bar going door to door to do a survey does anyone have any ideas?? - I have looked in Ikea, Laura Ashley, John Lewis but they dont have the smaller sized blind I need and I have costed having them made to measure but don't want to spend £100/£150 per small blind either..

I know you have already ordered, but should anyone else want to know, mine came from Habitat.
Venetian blinds are a pain to clean, though!

We ordered very lovely wooden venetian blinds from Discount Blind Centre: www.discountblindcentre.co.uk/The prices are very good and instructions very details, to avoid any inadvertant mistake. We ordered the pale wood venetian blinds for our lounge bay window and the dining room window, and are very happy with them.

My blinds from Wooden Blinds Direct arrived and are great so thanks for the tip. Total cost £210 including postage which I think is great... Does anyone have any recommendations now for someone who can make me a roller blind? I have the material so need someone who I can take the material to rather than ordering off the internet. I also have 4 dining chairs that I need to get covered, but I need them restuffing or completely remaking as they were originally leather sprung chairs that I picked up from Greenwich market but are very old and have dents in the seats from where people have sat over the years. I also have the material for these so if anyone knows anyone etc etc..

Venetian blinds are a pain to clean, though! Kleeneze do a very good 2-pronged furry thing for dusting blinds ...... about the only good thing in the catalogue though.

Here is a store that sells made to measure venetian blinds at low prices www.linkunow.com/link/214.html . You can have the blinds custom made according to the dimensions you provide, so as to fit perfectly any window type.
